To begin, make a magic ring or you can chain 2 and work your first round stitches into the first chain.
The total number of stitches on each round is shown in parentheses.
You can mark the beginning of each round by using a bit of yarn pulled through the first stitch.
sc: single crochet
inc: increase, which means make 2 sc in the same stitch
dec: decrease, which means work a decrease over 2 stitches. You can do an "invisible decrease" by working into the front loops only.
Crochet round ball pattern:
Round 1: 6 sc in ring
Round 2: inc in each st around (12)
Round 3: (sc, inc) repeated around (18)
Round 4: (2 sc, inc) repeated around (24)
Rounds 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: sc around (5 rounds of 24)
Round 10: (2 sc, dec) repeated around (18)
Round 11: (sc, dec) repeated around (12)
Round 12: dec around (6)
Fasten off and sew hole closed.
